Our Ankole Watusi Skull Mount makes a bold and stunning wall feature! This authentic longhorn and skull mount is a head-turning piece, unlike anything you've seen before.  

These wall mounts are perfect for a large blank wall, above a mantel, or even on an outdoor porch or veranda!

The Ankole-Watusi, or Ankole Longhorn, are a stunning breed of cattle native to Africa. Their distinctive horns can reach up to 8 feet from tip to tip, making them some of the world's largest. In addition to their impressive size, Ankole horns are also known for their beautiful variation of colors ranging from light to dark, with exotic stripes of ivory, black and brown. Similar to a fingerprint, no two horns are exactly alike, making them unique and rare.

Each skull and horn set was sourced ethically in Kampala, Uganda, as a food by-product. Each mount takes about a week to complete from start to finish, utilizing the skill and touch of more than five artisans, all working in fair-trade environments.

Ankole Watusi Skull Mount Details:

• Measures approximately 46”H x 44”W x 5”D
• Natural Ankole cow skull + horns + Mugavu wood mount. 
• Colors: Ivory, a natural mix of light and dark horn; dark brown with a natural wood grain.
• Recommended for indoor use or covered outdoor area.
• To prevent horns from warping, limit exposure to direct sunlight or heat.
• Dust lightly as needed.
• Origin: Uganda
• Ships in 7-10 business days. 

Assembly: 

The Ankole wall mount ships in three pieces and can be assembled quickly and easily. Each horn has been labeled to match the accompanying side of the skull it belongs to. Slide each horn opening onto the skull, adjusting and turning it until you get a nice, snug fit. Since the mount is on the heavier side, the wood backing has four openings to ensure it is held strongly in place by the hardware you choose (we recommend screw-in anchors, not included).
