This tribute features a square pattern, reminiscent of intricate designs found in traditional coverlets, carefully hand-loomed on a white warp using the four-harness overshot technique. From growing their own flax and cotton to raising sheep for wool, these skilled weavers took pride in hand-carding and using natural dyes. Today, their remarkable Appalachian craftsmanship is proudly on display in museums.
