The Story Behind Our Exclusive Western Tableware

Exclusive Tableware Designed by Randee

The Blue Mountain Brands tableware story began with Randee, founder of Your Western Decor, and her vision for a dinnerware collection that would represent the ranching heritage of the region she calls home. Rather than using generic Western symbols, Randee gathered authentic brands from working ranches throughout Umatilla County, Oregon.

Randee developed the stoneware collection in collaboration with potter Tom at Pendleton Ceramics, LLC. Together, they created the forms, colors, ranch-brand arrangements, barbed-wire details, and Western imagery that define the collection. The result is an original tableware line owned and offered exclusively by Your Western Decor and Blue Mountain Brands.

The coordinating glassware was designed by Randee using the same ranch brands and barbed-wire motif, allowing the glasses and stoneware to create a unified Western table setting. Randee also handcrafts the collection’s genuine cowhide coasters and napkin rings, adding natural texture and another layer of Western authenticity.

Our Blue Mountain Ranch Brands Western Dinnerware is handcrafted in Pendleton, Oregon, from durable, restaurant-quality stoneware. The updated Warm Ivory glaze provides a softly aged, neutral foundation for the rust-colored ranch brands and rodeo artwork.

Each place setting may include a dinner plate, salad plate, cereal bowl, and signature Western mug. Complete 4-piece and 16-piece dinnerware sets are available, while individual pieces make it easy to build a custom service, add extra place settings, or replace a well-loved piece.

Oregon Rodeo Heritage

The Western illustrations appearing throughout the dinnerware were adapted from rodeo photography by local photographer R.A. McLean. His images were captured at rodeos in and around Pendleton, Oregon, including the legendary Pendleton Round-Up.

Bull riding and barrel racing scenes are framed with barbed wire and surrounded by genuine regional ranch brands. These details connect the collection to real Western families, working ranches, and the rodeo traditions that continue to shape Eastern Oregon.

Complete your place settings with exclusive Blue Mountain Brands Western glassware. Designed to coordinate with the dinnerware, each glass carries the same ranch-brand and barbed-wire theme found on the stoneware pieces.

The matching design creates a collected, intentional appearance across the entire table while allowing the glassware to stand beautifully on its own for casual drinks, Western entertaining, and ranch-style bar service.

Handmade Cowhide Table Accessories

Genuine cowhide brings natural warmth, texture, and individuality to the collection. Randee handcrafts the coordinating cowhide coasters and napkin rings, selecting and arranging each piece to complement the ranch-inspired character of the dinnerware and glassware.

Because genuine hair-on-hide is a natural material, every coaster and napkin ring has its own markings, color variations, and pattern. These differences are not imperfections—they are part of what makes each handmade table setting unique.

Explore our complete collection of Handmade Cowhide Napkin Rings to add a finished Western touch to each place setting.

The stoneware is produced in limited runs rather than mass-manufactured in large quantities. Dinnerware pieces are generally created in runs of 50, and a new production run may introduce slight differences in image placement or pattern arrangement.

Variations in glaze tone, surface texture, dimensions, ranch-brand placement, and decoration are expected in handcrafted pottery. Likewise, the natural markings found in genuine cowhide will vary from piece to piece. These individual characteristics are part of the collection’s authenticity and ensure that no two table settings are exactly alike.

Whether used every day or reserved for entertaining, the Blue Mountain Brands Exclusive Western Tableware Collection celebrates American craftsmanship and the enduring character of the West. Every piece carries part of a larger story—one shaped by Oregon ranches, Pendleton rodeo heritage, independent makers, and original design.
