SAUVAGE is a luxurious full-grain aniline leather crafted in a historic leather-producing region of Italy using premium English hides. The tannery applies hot waxes before tumbling the hides overnight in traditional wooden drums, creating remarkable softness and suppleness. Once upholstered, artisans hand-rub the finished chair using imported waxes and pigments to develop a distinctive layered patina unique to every piece.

This specialized finishing process creates the rich visual character and broken-in comfort of a decades-old heirloom chair while maintaining the strength and integrity of newly crafted leather furniture. The result is an exceptionally refined leather with unmatched warmth, depth, and artisan individuality.

Frame Construction:

Combining traditional bench-made craftsmanship with modern precision manufacturing, each frame is carefully hand-assembled using kiln-dried hardwood lumber for exceptional durability and structural integrity. Double-doweled joints reinforce all stress points, while large corner blocks are glued and screwed into place for long-lasting stability and support.

Seat Cushion Construction:

Designed for luxurious everyday comfort, the seat cushion features a premium down-alternative construction using specialized polyester fibers layered around high-resiliency Qualux® polyurethane foam. The advanced foam core provides exceptional support while helping the cushion retain its shape and comfort over time. A firmer comfort option is also available upon request.
